The Toni Turchi Foundation (TTF) and Cancer Awareness Month

Do you love homemade, all natural cookies but lack the time to prepare them? A good friend of mine, Ellen Pignatello owns a company called "Cookie Cupboard". Ellen makes the dough, and all you have to do is scoop them out of the tub, bake them, and claim them as your own. Ellen distributes to high-end grocery chains all over the country and has extended an amazing opportunity for my fan base to purchase tubs of dough (over 200 recipes) with a percentage donated to the TTF during the month of October. 

If you love these cookies as much as I do, continue to purchase them after the promotion and pass her website on to your friends.

Dr. Vincent Tuohy, Christi, Toni

Christi's selfless act of kindness! 

 
Hello my dear family & friends,
 
Remember when my friend Christi was the honorary guest for a Zumbathon fundraiser held by her sister and community? Well, $4000.00 was raised as a result of this event which was to be used by Christi to enjoy something special. Instead, Christi surprised me and donated the entire check to the Toni Turchi Foundation. Her request was "See to it that Dr. Vincent Tuohy (from the Cleveland Clinic) gets funded to initiate his preventative vaccine for breast cancer". Well this past Friday, I had a little surprise for Christie. I picked her up and took her to the CC to hand-deliver the check herself. The moment was spectacular! It's so like Christie to think of everyone else but herself. As sick as she is, Christi's not only fighting for her own life, but yours as well.

Providing Christie is feeling up to it, we'll be headed for the Cleveland Clinic tomorrow to meet with Dr. Vincent Tuohy.  Christie will hand over a check in the amount of $4000.00

Mitt Romney Rally-Bedford Hts. Ohio 9-27-2012

On Wednesday Sept. 26, 2012, I was invited to attend the Mitt Romney rally in Bedford Hts. Ohio on behalf of the Toni Turchi Foundation (TTF). As many of you already know, Mrs. Romney is a breast cancer survivor.  My [sole] purpose for attending this event was in hopes of introducing the TTF and my mission to Mrs. Romney.  When I arrived, I was greeted by a member of the Republican Party who was already expecting me. I was taken to the third row, he shook my hand and assured me that my packet would get directly into the hands of Ann Romney.

"Zumbathon" For Christi Rosen & Breast Cancer

Yesterday was amazing!  A dear friend of mine named Christie Rosen who is battling triple-negative breast cancer, was thrown a "Zumbathon" by her sister and her community (Brecksville Ohio).  Everyone showed up in pink and Latin-danced for over an hour.  The event raised $2600.00 and Christie surprised me and donated all of it to the Toni Turchi Foundation.  I was in AWE!  She told me to give it to Dr. Vincent Tuohy of the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio who was named Innovator of the year" in 2010 for his groundbreaking science in a vaccine to prevent breast cancer.  Today, I surprised Christie!  I contacted Dr. Tuohy and made arrangements to take Christie to the Clinic and hand-deliver the check herself.  Christi's ecstatic!

Christie, keep on fighting, I need you desperately as my right-hand person in my foundation.  I love you so much my dear friend.

The Toni Turchi Foundation

Our mission is devoted to raising funds in support of scientific methods proven to prevent and one day eradicate the disease of breast cancer.

A couple of months ago, I learned of several women across the country that are also supporters of Cleveland Clinic's Dr. Vincent Tuohy and his vaccine to prevent breast cancer.  I introduced myself to each of them and within days, all of us were communicating via Skype.  Like me, three of these women are NED (No Evidence of Disease).  The other is a breast cancer surgeon, Dr. Kathleen Ruddy.  Dr. Ruddy has been associated with the Toni Turchi Foundation since its inception.  As a result of our combined passion and individual resources, we launched our own organization called The Champions of the Pink Vaccine, www.thepinkvaccine.wordpress.com. Click on "meet the champions" and acquaint yourselves with my new partners and friends.  

Once again, God has opened [yet] another door for me.  I'm learning that it takes many people to move a mountain and with faith, nothing is impossible.  I'm so blessed to share my journey with all of these beautiful, courageous women.
